Philosophy in the Wild is a project run by Maja Sidzinska, Zach Agoff, Arthur Obst, and I, dedicated to exploring the ways philosophy can look when it is taken out of its technologized built environment.

We host an annual outdoor conference where participants camp for two nights and present on environmental philosophy during the day. The call for abstracts for the summer 2024 edition (our fourth!) is here.

Past keynote speakers include Karen Kovaka, Brendan Cline, and Romy Opperman. Ryan Johnson will deliver the keynote in 2024.

Over the past year, we have also collaborated with the Public Philosophy Journal on a special issue, which can be freely accessed here.
